Oil Storage Regulations – Disaster on the River Usk

It is estimated that each year, leaks and spills from oil storage tanks, pipes and containers account for 25% of pollution incidents in Britain. Leaked oil can have severe environmental impacts, including local wildlife damage, water pollution and in extreme cases if the oil soaks through rock, groundwater supplies can be affected. The bottom could be serious reputational damage, heavy fines and other sanctions.

Floodline leak detection is installed in sensitive and critical areas to give an early warning of leakage from any source, e.g. pipes, tanks and air conditioning plants. Currently our system can be used for water leak detection, refrigerant gas leak detection and oil leak detection.
