Clarinetist Adrian Cox leads an afternoon cruise aboard Henley’s very own Mississippi-style paddle steamer, The New Orleans. As you sail the tranquil Thames, enjoy a drink and the glorious river view whilst listening to the authentic sounds of New Orleans jazz — King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Sidney Bechet and more.

Originally from Sussex and now resident in Sweden, Adrian Cox tours the world as the leading exponent of a clarinet style rooted in the rhythms of New Orleans. A truly unique festival experience.

We are excited to present an exclusive musical preview of our wonderful festival onboard the New Orleans paddle steamer in Henley-On-Thames ~ 27 August.

Join singers Rebecca Poole and Denny Ilett (and band) for a Sentimental Journey down the river Thames at sunset. This will be an intimate serenade of classics from the Great American Songbook ahead of the duos big band show at the Kenton Theatre on 27 September.

THE HENLEY JAZZ FESTIVAL IS PROUD TO PRESENT LIANE CARROLL ON 26 SEPTEMBER 2026 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Liane Carroll is one of the UK’s greatest jazz pianists and vocalists — raw, powerful and deeply soulful. Her performances are legendary for their emotional honesty and electrifying energy.

Her career spans decades of acclaimed recordings and multiple major awards including Best Vocalist and Best of Jazz at the BBC Jazz Awards, Musician of the Year at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and a BASCA Gold Badge Award for her contribution to music. Her albums Up and Down, Ballads, Seaside and The Right to Love have all received four-star reviews from The Guardian and The Observer.

Pianist, singer and songwriter is one of the most exciting performers on the UK Jazz scene — funny, charming and breathtakingly talented at the keyboard. Known for blending old-school swing with modern wit, he has released multiple albums and toured globally.

Joe is also a renowned musical theatre composer and popular broadcaster for the BBC and Jazz FM, and recently collaborated with Hannah Waddingham at the opening of the BAFTAs. Expect an evening of jazz standards, original songs and sparkling wit in this unmissable headline performance.

The Henley Jazz Festival Is proud to present ‘Instrumentalist Of The Year!’ - 🌟 Performing 25th September Jazz Club. Doors 7.30. Show 8pm.

Pianist Joe Webb is an extraordinarily gifted musician who has emerged as a leading force on today’s global jazz scene. Captivating audiences with his exceptional talent and ‘rockstar’ persona, his innovative approach to the keyboard seamlessly blends the traditional with the contemporary.

Born and raised in Wales, Joe is now touring the world with Will Sach (bass) and Sam Jesson (drums), and has performed as special guest with Jools Holland and as pianist with the Wynton Marsalis Quartet. His album Hamstrings & Hurricanes (2024) was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.

We’re delighted to announce that Hobbs of Henley will be part of the brand new The Henley Jazz Festival coming to Henley this September 🎷

As part of the festival programme, we’ll be hosting two special jazz evenings aboard our flagship vessel, 'The New Orleans' - a truly unique floating venue on the Thames.

Expect live jazz, a relaxed river setting, and an unforgettable evening experience on one of the most iconic boats on the river. The New Orleans, inspired by a classic Mississippi paddle steamer, offers a spacious and atmospheric setting perfect for live music events
