Over 400 competitors, more than 200 children, first-timers, seasoned racers, proud families and an incredible community spirit… what a day 💙

From our youngest triathletes to those proving you’re never too old to give it a go, the atmosphere at this year’s Hatch End-Harrow Triathlon was something really special. There were PBs chased, finish lines crossed, friendships made, and so many people taking on their very first triathlon.

Yes, it was a little chilly and windy at times, but that certainly didn’t stop the smiles, encouragement and amazing energy throughout the day.

The event village had such a brilliant buzz all day long and that only happens because of the amazing people behind it.

Despite feeling the cold, Linda and Jenny loved their day.

This is Jenny’s fourth year of doing the Hatch End-Harrow Triathlon and will be back again next year!

I bet that cup of tea tasted great.

Don’t try this at home!!! 😂🤣

Thank you to Darren and Saba from who gave up their Sunday to come and support our event today. Helping over 20 cyclists with mechanical problems; mainly brake and tyre problems.

If you are new to cycling or feel a bit rusty, they offer cycle courses for both adults and juniors. Plus free local group rides.

They are moving to a fantastic new venue in Kenton with safe riding areas and a cafe. More info to come. Do reach out to them.

They’re a super friendly bunch (as you can see!).

Congrats to all of our relay teams out there today! I had a lovely chat with Tri-Wizards who looked at bit cold as it was still pretty early in the morning. They loved the event and actually came FIRST out of all the relay teams, so well done 🥳👏🥇

You can see how much the Hatch End - Harrow means to the members of Jetstream Tri Club. It’s a truly emotional day (after months of planning).

Kevin has been helping to run this event for 26 years since when it first started. It’s evolved and grown over the years and today, as Kevin says, it’s the best ever!

It’s emotional to see your children grow up within the club from competing to having children of their own. It’ll only be another 7 years or so until Kevin’s granddaughter takes part. Incredible really.

Thanks so much to Kevin for everything he has done for the triathlon and the club over the many years.

So many of our athletes today were teenagers and juniors trying the sport of triathlon for the very first time. The smiles and cheers said it all!

Congratulations to all our young competitors for putting their heart and soul into their race. Whatever the outcome, they were all winners!

So lovely to chat to Dillon who was completing the Hatch End-Harrow Triathlon today with his sister, Lola, raising money for Community on Action Dementia For Brent.

A charity close to his heart as his Nan has dementia and he helps run her dementia club. £600 raised today - that’s awesome! 🤩
