One week to go!! Ale Day is a very family friendly event with all sorts of activities to keep everyone happy. We also have a brilliant Halesworth & District Museum, The Cut Arts centre & Halesworth Gallery to explore plus our gorgeous town park!

Interesting characters are always guaranteed on a visit to . But thanks to Circle 67 we have some very special ones joining us for Ale Day! Might you meet Robert William Turner? Head gamekeeper for Bramfield Hall - devout Primitive Methodist and strict teetotaller, determined to stop poachers and discourage drinking? Or perhaps Mary Ann Newson, the Shrewd Victorian Landlady, whose favourite phrase is "If you've time to argue, you've time to buy another round!" You might meet Priscilla Johnston, will she convince you to sign the abstinence pledge?? Look out for the infamous Patrick Stead - Industrial Titan! Will you cross paths with Jemmy "Oars" Borrett, the gruff River Blyth Wherryman - don't mention the Railway! Shake hands with Thomas Cracknell, the Retiring brewer, perhaps he'll sell you his business empire. Look out for Frederick Rolfe, the mischievous King of the Norfolk Poachers & dont get between him & Mr Turner! Chat to Granny Crowfoot, the eccentric herring curer, she tells fortunes and warns of strange happenings...

Public transport is a jolly nice way to travel to Ale Day! Trundle along the East Suffolk Lines to Halesworth's railway station which is only a 5 min walk from the centre of town. Or, hop on a bus! 🚌🚄

Meet Robin, this years Ale label design winner & member of Artbox. Robin is a very young 53 and lives in Farnham, near Saxmundham with his dad & brother Simon. Robin says his inspiration for his winning design was his love of beer and history. Ale Day is also a special day for Robin; it's his mum's birthday! We asked Robin about his favourite things...
Colour - pink, Car - Cadillac, food - fish and chips, music - rock 'n' roll & Dolly Parton, sport - snooker, film - Some Like It Hot, actress - Marilyn Monroe, thing to do - visiting classic American car rallies. A man of great taste, I think you'll agree!
