This afternoon we hosted the Fishguard & Goodwick St. David's Day Festival event looking at the life of St David and his impact on this area, as well as live music by Phil. Well done to those who braved the wind and rain!

♥️ Diolch to everyone that turned up for our parade! Even the Welsh rain joined in!

🎉 It was great to see so many of you take part and thank you to the Sea Cadets, Côr Meibion Rygbi Abergwaun ac Wdig, NPTT and The Royal British Legion for organising it all.

🌅 Hopefully next year will be sunny!

What an incredible start to the celebrations here in Fishguard & Goodwick! The last 24 hours have already been buzzing with activity - and we’re only just getting started 🙌

👣 A really lovely mini pilgrimage this morning , from the 1936 Gorsedd Circle, down the Slade, past the old like kilns, and to where the ship building was based, then into Gwaun Woodland.

🪨 We stopped at the baptism stone where in 1905 95 people were baptised in 45mins. 4000 people came to see it.

⛪ We then went back up to Tower Hill and finished at St Mary's churchyard.

🎉 This pilgrimage celebrated our ancient connections.

♥️ We will definitely do more in the future. - so please do come along!

🏊‍♀️ This morning we saw a St. David's Day swim take place in Goodwick. It was great to see so many people brave the cold weather and swim in the sea.
