Anyone for some HUGE NEWS? We've only gone and bagged ourselves a last minute Grade C HOYS qualifier! 🎉🍾 Who fancies jumping in our Main Ring on Sunday 30th August to follow that dream of qualifying for HOYS? You could also sneak an entry into our Area Trial that day too. Leap onto our website to get entered for Super Showjumper Sunday today!

Our watering and ground agrivating programme continues - there's a lovely green returning and it's holding onto the moisture very well indeed. We'll be spot on and ready for everyone's favourite coursebuilder Ben Townley to do his thing and create the perfect course.

📢*Calling all Equestrian Exhibitors!*📢

Who’s missing the sight of lush green grass? 🌱 We certainly are – we’re thinking of holding a zebra class and inviting David Attenborough to commentate. However, beneath the brown surface all is most definitely not as it seems!

Our grounds team are on a mission. They’re committed to their cause and they’ve accepted the challenge of getting our horse rings into competition condition both for showjumping and showing. We’ve got a sustainable source of water using our bowser and a huge rainwater lagoon. There are sprinklers to supplement overnight and we’ve run this very nifty Agrivator over all the competition rings to lift the top layers of the ground.

We’ll continue this programme to make sure that even if we can’t quite get the lush green colour back, it’s still a great, springy enough surface for competition. 🐴

There’s still time to get your equestrian entries in. Showing classes remain open until we shut the virtual gates on Monday morning (10th August). Showjumping entries remain open until 25th August, but please don’t delay and get those entries in! Thank you!

We've got a new toy! 🤖 Prep of our horse rings is top of the list for our amazing grounds team and the lovely folk at Ernest Doe Power - Ringmer are only going to lend us an awesome new robot to help us perfect the finish! We can't wait to meet him or her - what shall we call it??
💦 AND YES, REST ASSURED WE ARE WATERING! 💦 Whilst everything looks like the Sahara at the moment, we have oodles of water from a rainwater harvested lagoon on a nearby farm. We're now lobbing it very liberally all over the horse rings and warm-up areas ahead of the show in August. We'll be running the super duper agrivator across the rings too so whether you're jumping, showing or driving we will do our very best with the ground.
Entries are still open so get cracking and let's get you booked in! 🐴

A fair bit of concern around the country regarding a number of equine flu cases. As we're now well into the better weather and show season, it's super important to do everything we can to help reduce risk. We need to doublecheck our four legged friends all have up to date vaccinations and we need to be careful with things like yard and transport hygiene. 🫧🧴🧽🚛

Every horse and pony competing with us in August *must* be up to date with annual flu vaccines. 💉 We'll be spot checking this through our vets Lingfield Equine Vets and admission will have to be denied if you can't prove you're covered. So, avoid the last minute panic, double check your passports and vet records now and get them booked in for a booster in good time. 📆

What do we think of the scheme? 🐴🥕📋🏆
We're super keen to recognise and reward those who are doing a great job in maintaining a healthy weight for their horses. So... *New for 2026* - the lovely green and gold rosettes from the Weigh to Win scheme from The Horse Trust will be awarded in selected classes at our show on 30th & 31st August. We'll have vet judges to condition score the entries forward and help promote better horse health.

As ever, we've got HOYS classes (INCLUDING *NEW* HACKS!), there's a golden ticket 🎫 for LIHS for a Heritage Ridden champion, there are two early RIHS 2027 qualifiers and we've added EVEN MORE unaffiliated jumping. 🏆

If costume competition's your thang then we have two fab new classes in which we want to see you strutting your stuff!

Our rescue horse classes also return in 2026 - we hope to see more people encouraged to enter these to show how nurture can overturn the effects of neglect for their lucky horses and ponies.
