WEDNESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER '25, THE CLIMAX RETURNS IN ALL ITS GLORY - 8PM TIL LATE AT CAFE RENE, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO! SEE YOU THERE! 👄

Come along to the Cellar Bar - listen or take part, it's a very chilled event. We accept all outlooks and levels of poets, rappers and lovers of writing!

This is an 18+ event leaving us the freedom to read out various types of poetry of any nature, humorous and serious alike. let's see what you've got but please, do not bring material of a highly offensive manner - please ask the event hosts on the night to check your piece if you aren't too sure.

*This event is FREE and goes on for a couple of hours or so. Please be mindful that the Cellar Bar does not have wheel chair access due to it being down steep stairs*

📢 Applications are still open for Gloucester's next Poet Laureate—a prestigious role celebrating our city's rich literary tradition! 📖✨

The selected poet will advocate for poetry, engage with the community, and promote creative writing in Gloucester.

Applicants must be 21+ and a resident for at least two years. Apply by March 10, 2025 via Google Form!
