London marathon ✅

Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has donated and supported me the last couple months, genuinly been one of the best experiences of my life and it means a lot. Having raised almost £11000 is something that I could never have dreamt of.

I knew who was looking down on me today and knowing that today made me prouder than I can even explain.

That one was for you brother. Love you always 💙💚

Less than one week to go!

Over the last few weeks I have been tapering down my training to avoid any injures, however 2 weeks ago during my first tapered run I managed to run over a pot hole and sprain my ankle🥲

The last few weeks have been tough and have definetly added to the already big challenge this weekend, however after a few weeks of recovery, my ankle is feeling much better and will be good to go for Sunday!

So far we have raised over £8500, which has blown me away and again thank you to everyone that has donated, it really means a lot.

Below is a link to the just giving page and anymore donations would be hugely appreciated as we aim towards the £10000 mark!. Cheers! 😃

Hello everyone!

Since my last post I have been building up each week to get towards running 21 miles before tapering down for the marathon. With only 5 weeks left before the big day, I have been adding an extra mile each week and on Tuesday managed to get a 19 mile run in the bag. Have to say never thought I would be able to say I ran 19 miles 😂

The support on the just giving page has been incredible and we are on almost £8000, which I wanted to thank every single person for supporting, it means a lot.

I also wanted to say a massive thank you to Jenny and the Catherine McEwan Foundation for kindly donating £5000 towards my fundraising from her Tea Jenny event. I really appreciate your support ❤️

The support is massively appreciated and with 5 weeks to go I’ll make sure to put out some more updates.

Cheers, John 💚💙

Hello everyone, it’s been while since I have posted on Facebook but the training has been going surprisingly well! I have been slowly working my way up to a half marathon which I’m aiming to get done by Christmas. Last nights run was my first go at 10 miles which went well, 2 more weeks and hopefully I’ll be up to 13 miles 😃

Hi everyone, this page is dedicated to my progress for running the London Marathon next year.

I’m running for Meningitis now as it’s a charity very close to my heart. In late 2017 my best friend Kyle passed away from Meningitis. His passing hit me pretty hard and to this day doesn’t seem real. Kyle was an immensely brave person and no matter what always had a smile on his face. He was the most inspirational person I have ever met and his incredible attitude is something I’m going to need to have training for this Marathon!

In 2016, Kyle’s mum Jen sadly passed away from cancer. In the months following, Kyle took part in many great charity events for Maggies cancer centre and the Beatson. He even dyed his hair blue! This dedication to help others even whilst going through a s**t time shows the type of person he was.

Right now I’m pretty unfit and have never done a Marathon before. It’s gonna be tough and I’ll need to cut the beers out but I have got more than enough motivation to get this done! I have a just giving page below, any donations would be great and much appreciated!
