The first batch of photos from Scotland’s International Yoga Day 2026 is here!

These moments capture just a small part of the energy, joy and connection that filled the day — from mats rolling out and classes beginning, to shared smiles, movement, breath and community.

It was wonderful to see people of all ages and experience levels coming together to explore yoga, try something new and celebrate wellbeing.

The first glimpse of Scotland’s International Yoga Day 2026 is here and it is only the beginning.

What an incredible day of movement, breath, music, learning and community. From yoga and breathwork to the energy of the Yoga Challenge, the venue was alive with people coming together to celebrate wellbeing in all its forms.

We cannot wait to share more of the moments, teachers, volunteers, families and memories that made this year’s event so special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us and helped make SIYD26 such a success.

What an amazing start to Scotland’s International Yoga Day 2026!

The energy is already incredible as our halls fill with movement, breath, music and community. From first-time participants to experienced practitioners, everyone is coming together to celebrate yoga in all its forms.

There is such a buzz in the air mats are down, classes are underway, and Scotland is moving, breathing and connecting as one.

We are only just getting started.

Meet Your Guide: Angela Landers 🧘‍♀️

Scotland's International Yoga Day is delighted to welcome Angela Landers to the SIYD26 teaching team.

Angela has been teaching Transcendental Meditation since 2005 and has dedicated many years to sharing practical tools that help people experience greater balance, clarity, and wellbeing. Alongside her work as a meditation teacher, she has studied Maharishi AyurVeda and is a qualified Yoga Asana Instructor, bringing a holistic approach to health that integrates mind, body, and breath.

With a warm and accessible teaching style, Angela introduces timeless techniques that can be easily incorporated into modern life. Her sessions encourage participants to slow down, reduce stress, and reconnect with their natural state of calm and vitality.

Whether you are completely new to meditation and yoga or looking to deepen your existing practice, Angela offers a welcoming space to explore the benefits of these ancient traditions and discover tools that support everyday wellbeing.

Meet Your Guide: Sarah Bence

Scotland's International Yoga Day is delighted to welcome Sarah Bence and Angela Landers from Transcendental Meditation to the SIYD26 teaching team.

Together, Sarah bring decades of experience in Transcendental Meditation, Maharishi AyurVeda, yoga, and holistic wellbeing. Sarah has been teaching Transcendental Meditation since 2022 and is also a Maharishi Ayurveda Consultant and Marma Therapist. Angela has been teaching Transcendental Meditation since 2005, has studied Maharishi AyurVeda, and is a qualified Yoga Asana Instructor.

At SIYD26, they will lead a unique workshop exploring Transcendental Meditation, Marma Therapy, and Pranayama. Participants will discover a simple, natural meditation technique that can be practiced effortlessly in daily life to help reduce stress, improve sleep, increase energy, enhance mental clarity, and support overall wellbeing.

The session will begin with a guided Pranayama practice before introducing the principles of Transcendental Meditation. It will conclude with a short sequence of Marma Therapy techniques that participants can take home and use for self-care and rejuvenation.

Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your understanding of mind-body wellness, Sarah and Angela offer a welcoming and practical introduction to these timeless traditions.
