What do you do once the winter storm has passed… for me it’s a weekend of ocean rowing.. the ocean’s calling and I must go!! It’s going to be a cold one!!

Ever wanted to be inspired?? The weekend was spent training in the North Sea with Alex Lewis… just a normal guy but a quadruple amputee… he’s going to row the northern Atlantic from Newfoundland to Blighty… and I’ll be shoulder to shoulder with him (not quite ‘cos he’s only 3 feet tall!) Watch out for training info and a trip to start in June ‘26.

What did you do on Summer Solstice?? I had the pleasure of cycling with 2 great friends and being apart of 1200 participants of 100miles overnight, stopping for chips, bagpipes and a rave… all between Carlisle and Edinburgh. A great night, a great craic and just great!! Thanks and Nathan Bowmer… you are both class acts!! Thanks to Anita Lomas for driving us to the start and coming out at 3am to meet us at the finish. Thanks also to for setting my trusty stead up!!

Are your teammates 5000 miles away?? If so, like me, you have to find away to train in isolation. The boat might not be in Blighty, but my bike is… along with the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire hills and drystone walls… conversation is a bit boring though!!
