Bartestree Village Fete

Last year’s village fete was another fantastic success. So many of you came to enjoy the day with us (even in the scorching weather!) and as a result we are able to make donations to the following excellent causes:

- ELY Memorial Fund - £560
- West Midlands Air Ambulance - £560
- Hereford First Responders - £560
- We Are Farming Minds - £370
- Hereford Salvation Army - £180

However, we regret to announce that the organising committee will not be hosting a fete in 2026.

The Lugwardine and Bartestree Events Team wish to thank everyone who supported the fete over the years and our various other community events. These have all taken a lot of lengthy behind-the-scenes planning and effort, and would not have been possible without such a dedicated group of people determined to add to the life and liveliness of our villages.

We are sure that there will be others who would like to take on the organisation of these popular events in the future. We encourage you to do so – it has been a highly rewarding experience. And once again, many thanks for all your support!

Some answers to a couple of FAQs that we've had ahead of Bartestree Village Fete 2025!:

Parking: Yes, there will be parking on the field, including designated spaces set aside for blue badge holders. However, space is not infinite and we're asking everyone who can walk or get the fete's bus to do so.

Set up time: Stall holders can set up from 10am.

If you have any other questions, ask them here or message me and we'll try to answer them if we can!

Don't miss the Lugwardine and Bartestree Community Café cream teas at the Village Hall this Sunday!

We've had lots of people kindly asking when we're going to be back - the plan is to officially return to the Village Hall on Thursday 4th September and to the Chapel on Wednesday 17th. Until then, come and join us at Bartestree Village Fete on July 13th - we'll be based in the Village Hall and we'll be offering a mean cream tea!

Spread the word far and wide - on Sunday we will have a FREE bus to and from Bartestree Village Fete! A massive thank you to Sargeants, who will be running a double decker service from Tupsley to The Godwins pub & Hotel and back every half hour from 12 noon until 4pm! The route is as follows (pictures below):

- The Rose and Crown, Hereford pub
- Hampton Park United Reformed Church
- The C**k of Tupsley pub
- Lugwardine Court Orchard bus stop
- Outside St Mary's School, Lugwardine
- Lugwardine Church bus stop, by the Lumber Lane entrance
- Next to The Godwins pub & Hotel - this is the perfect stop! Bartestree Village Fete is just over the road from here, where we hope you have a fantastic day!

There is just one week left to go until Bartestree Village Fete 2025! - we now have so many events and stalls I couldn't possibly list them all here, so I'll let our wonderful leaflets do the talking. All are welcome, entry is free and we kick off at 12 noon!

Did someone say Bartestree Village Fete had gone to the dogs? It's the other way around - the dogs are coming to us! Time for another shout out to our four-legged (and two-legged) friends at Paws for Thought - they're going to put on a sensational show of speed and skill on July 13th, and it's promising to be a diamond in the *ruff*!
