2013 Edinburgh Pentlands Mountain Bike Marathon – Cancellation

The proposed Mountain Bike Marathon in the Pentland Hills Regional Park, scheduled for the weekend of 28-29 September is cancelled.

We had been consulting with 30 landowners on the 47km route since April but, unfortunately, have not been able to get 100% support in time for this year’s event.

The marathon was intended to be a special event in the Pentlands, but it can only take place with the agreement of all the landowners.

We will continue to try to work with landowners and the Pentland Hills Regional Park for a future event.

In the meantime apologies to all those who entered and were looking forward to a great event. All entry fees will be fully refunded.

As well as providing prize vouchers for all categories, they will also have bike servicing facilities at the start and half way point
