We’re excited to announce that Stuart Gough, an award-winning brand and creative leader will be hosting a talk at our 2026 South West Design + Digital Student Awards!
Stuart’s perspective is informed by a career spanning over 20 leading design institutions. He has held roles at Apple, JKR, Studio Blackburn, and also previously served as an Associate Partner at Pentagram. During this time, he was the project lead for the Natural History Museum’s rebrand and the visual identity of the Young V&A, as well as for vital charitable organisations including Battersea, Maggie’s, Blood Cancer UK, and Asthma + Lung UK.
Driven by the belief that design should be both inclusive and sustainable, Stuart is a member of the climate declaration movement ‘Design Declares’. His work champions low-impact approaches that minimise waste and maximise reuse, proving that engaging brand experiences can coexist with environmental responsibility. Through accessible design principles that balance functional requirements with emotional resonance, Stuart is committed to using design as a tool to reimagine and heal our world.
For students and emerging designers, hearing about other creative’s career journeys and how they got to where they are is hugely valuable and we’re excited to have Stuart join us for the evening and hear his story.
