So many of us use the hall in some format or another - please come and support!

Fairlight Village Hall Summer Fair — Today!

It might be raining, but that just makes it the perfect day to come and get out of the drizzle and enjoy a cosy couple of hours at the Village Hall.

We’ve got:

• Hot food and Pimms
• Homemade cakes and scones
• Games for all ages
• Stalls to browse
• A brilliant tombola
• Plants to purchase

Every penny raised helps keep our Village Hall running for all the clubs, classes, parties and community events we rely on.

It’s warm, it’s friendly, it’s dry — and we’d love to see you there

💛 FAIRFEST VOLUNTEERS — WE NEED YOU! 💛

Fairfest is nearly here, and we’re pulling the final pieces together. Car parking is sorted (thank you, team!), but we still need more volunteers to help bring the day to life.

Here’s where we need extra hands:

• Bar helpers — a couple of slots still open
• Tug of War support — helping the arena team keep things running
• Raffle support — extra people to help sell tickets
• Bouncy castle supervision — supporting Activate
• Field setup on Friday afternoon — marking out and getting everything ready before the big day

If you can help with any of these — either on Friday afternoon or on Saturday 20th June — we’d be hugely grateful. These are friendly, straightforward roles, and knowing exactly what’s needed makes it easy to step forward.

💪 TUG OF WAR TEAMS — WE NEED YOU! 💪

Alright Fairfest folks… we’ve had a few brave souls step forward for Tug of War, but we know there are more competitive spirits hiding out there.

If you’ve been thinking about it, laughing about it in the pub, or saying “we really should do that”… this is your sign.

You don’t need to be athletes.
You don’t need matching T‑shirts.
You just need 6 willing humans, a sense of humour, and the ability to hold a rope without letting go.

Grab your mates, your colleagues, your neighbours, your book club, your dog‑walking crew — honestly, any combination works.

🏆 £2 per person
🏆 Best‑of‑three pulls
🏆 Glory, bragging rights, and possibly a pulled hamstring (optional)

💛 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — CAN YOU HELP WITH CAR PARKING?
Fairfest runs on community spirit, and this year we’re looking for a few friendly helpers to keep things moving safely on our single‑track road. If you can spare just one hour between 12 noon and 5.30 p.m. on 20th June, we’d be so grateful.

🌟 Fairfest 2026 is getting closer — and we can’t wait to welcome you! 🌟

Thank you to everyone who’s already been sharing the poster and spreading the word for
Fairfest 2026. It makes such a difference to our little community event.

If you’re planning to come along on Saturday 20th June, here’s a little taste of what to expect throughout the day:
