Well Dumbarton that was epic! 🙏 Another one for the books, and another incredible get together for our amazing community! 600 people in the building, totally sold out, and by far the biggest indoor gig Dumbarton has ever seen!

Those who were there will agree the vibe was electric, and it’s what we all have been needing for a long time!

Local businesses all working TOGETHER to showcase what we love about our town! ❤️

Big thanks needs to the organisers, the local artists/bands for their talent... to Kevin Matthews, Mark Mclinchy who handled our new sound system with all the live challenges that come with it. To DFC and the staff Gail, Cameron and co who work so hard and provide us a perfect venue for the event.

Also thanks to Mario the owner of DFC who saved the club, and has been so on board with this idea since he took over. To Kev Sage (Double Polariod) who provided us with excellent media and coverage, and to Kieran Gorman for these fantastic pictures of the evening.

Theres something special brewing and we cannot wait to do it all again...

‘Live artwork @ Dumbarton Rocks!’ 🎨

At our event on Bank Holiday Sunday 3rd May, local artist John Josimo Paterson will be carrying out a live painting, and we just can’t wait to see what it entails!

John Josimo Paterson is an incredibly talented artist who has inspiringly been involved in tattoo project 'Altered Earth', helping those with self harm scars onto a new journey through covering scars with meaningful tattoo. 🫶🏻 Which you may have seen featured on BBC Scotland with Russel Howard.

Josimo as he is known to many has carried out various solo and group exhibitions in cities around the world including Vienna, London, Paris, Glasgow to name a few. One of which led to an Award winning artist accomplishment in Vienna 2013. ⭐

John has recently moved to Dunoon where he spends his time in tranquility, the perfect place for the creative mind to flow, splitting his time between his love for painting and Tattooing at ‘Studiojosimo’. 🧘‍♂️

The countdown is on!

We are all systems go here at Dumbarton Rocks HQ. We're now approaching our 3rd event at the Rock and the excitement is building! As Dumbartonians ourselves, we've always felt something like this was missing from our town...

This is a community gathering of friends, family, local businesses and artists - all coming together to celebrate what's positive about Dumbarton. What a beautiful location with huge Scottish historical importance! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

For far too long, Dumbarton has been overlooked, labelled as a commuter town - but there is so much to be proud of here, from its title as the ancient capital of Strathclyde to our very own DFC being one of the oldest football clubs in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We are here to do something about it, and we are honoured to continue to showcase the amazing place we live, in the best light possible, through local music, art, food, drink and good times.

Sleeping Giants - a legendary and skilful local band who have been on the circuit for a number of years. They have worked their way to being regarded as one of the best to come from our area, and we are buzzing to have them play at peak time this Sunday! 🔊
