A Message from the Barlow Not Quite 10K Team

Firstly, we’d like to apologise for an issue with the results from Friday’s Barlow Not Quite 10K.

Unfortunately, an error in our results spreadsheet caused some runners who shared a surname to be listed in the wrong order. We fully appreciate that, whilst our event is a village fun run, everyone puts in a huge amount of training and effort, and your results are important. We are therefore very sorry for the mistake.

We are contacting those who were directly affected, and the results on the website have now been corrected and updated.

Our primary focus on Friday evening was keeping everyone safe in the exceptionally hot conditions and making sure you all enjoyed the event. We are disappointed that this issue detracted from what was otherwise a fantastic evening, and we sincerely apologise for any frustration caused.

We have reviewed what happened and put measures in place to ensure this does not happen again in future.

Thank you for your understanding, and thank you once again for supporting the Barlow Not Quite 10K. We hope you’ll join us again next year for another great evening of running in our wonderful village.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for the Barlow Carnival Not Quite 10K!

It was certainly a warm one, but that didn’t stop so many of you from turning out and giving it your all. Whether you were chasing a personal best, enjoying the challenge, or simply taking part, your efforts were fantastic to see.

A special thank you goes to our brilliant marshalling team for keeping everyone safe and on course, and to our wonderful chip butty makers who were hard at work afterwards. We hope everyone enjoyed a well-earned chip butty at the finish!

Thank you to all for supporting the event and we hope to welcome you back next year.

Today’s the day! The signs are up, the route is checked and we are looking forward to seeing you later.

Stating the obvious but clearly it’s going to be VERY HOT today. We will go ahead and as last year we will have our two main water stations at the top of the climbs and will be ensuring extra water around the course.

Please be sensible, listen to your bodies and make sure you take on plenty of water through the day.

Parking and number collection will be available from 6pm at:
Barlow Village Hall,
Millcross Lane,
Barlow,
S18 7TA

There are toilet facilities in the Village Hall.

The race brief will be at 6.45pm - please ensure you have arrived and collected your number ready for this, we will then walk you down to the start line ready for a prompt 7pm start.
