📣 Look what’s in the Echo today!

A huge thank‑you to the Bournemouth Daily Echo for shining a spotlight on our big event coming up on 25th July — the excitement is definitely building.

⚓ And plenty of nautical fun that really captures the spirit of the day

And this year… we’re going even bigger.
Expect Lion & Dragon Dancers, sea shanty singers, and all kinds of maritime mischief.

⛵ Entry forms are coming very soon — and yes, you absolutely should take part.
If you fancy going full‑on pirate, feel free… bring your hat, your swagger, even your parrot!

Kayaks and a floating picnic table are set to return to the waters of the River Stour in this years a quirky celebration of all things nautical.

Say hello to Pink Champagne Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Team Our amazing Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Team, training in the stunning surroundings of Hengistbury Head OutdoorsTheir energy, resilience and team spirit are genuinely inspiring.

And there’s even more excitement ahead…
Both teams are heading overseas to represent our community on the international stage:

🌍 **BWD → Barcelona**
🌍 **Pink Champagne → Venice**

What an achievement for both crews.

The River Pageant is drawing closer, 25th of July.

We are busy lining up attractions for the day. One of those big attractions & a star of the show, Bourne Water Dragons not only do they make an excellent subject for a picture but they are already in training in sunnier climes, best of luck to you all :-)

If you fancy being a pirate for the day, start to follow us & hopefully one or two of our followers might share the details too.

It's a date!!
This year's river pageant will take place on Saturday 25th July.
Our local Rotary clubs will be organising another fun family event involving Tuckton Tea Rooms, Christchurch Sailing Club, Hengistbury Head Organization, Bourne Water Dragons and Pink Champagne dragon boats have all confirmed they will be involved again this year.
