2026–27 Season Update
With the new season starting today, we wanted to give everyone a quick update.
The club is now in a much stronger position after a couple of years of recovery. Membership numbers have increased and are expected to grow further this season. The day ticket option on Diss Mere has proved very popular and will continue throughout 2026.
We have also decided to keep membership prices the same for this season.

Diss Mere
Fishing on the Mere has changed recently, with rod and feeder tactics proving to be the most successful approach for skimmers and bream. Afternoon and evening sessions appear to offer the best chances of success.
For carp anglers, there are hundreds of fish over 10lb, with a good number exceeding 20lb. Last year saw the first recorded 30lb carp caught from the Mere.
Day tickets have been extremely popular and will remain available throughout this season.
Thornham Lakes
Thornham Lakes is an exciting new opportunity for the club, and we're looking forward to members getting down there and giving it a try.
A chain lock has been fitted to the gate, with the access code listed in the membership book. Fishery information boards have been installed, providing lake details and fishery rules, and all pegs have been numbered.
Fish stocks are very healthy, ensuring plenty of sport for anglers of all abilities.
Lake 1 contains a variety of species, including plenty of smaller carp that can be caught close in.
Lake 3 holds the larger carp, which you'll notice as you approach the lake. The biggest fish landed last year weighed 17lb, although there are plenty of carp between 6lb and 10lb. There is also a good head of roach and rudd.
As mentioned previously, Lake 1 may appear shallow, but depths reach up to 5ft in the middle sections.
We will continue improving the pegs over time, as some areas are currently quite steep. There is also some w**d growth in the middle of Lake 3, which we will remove whenever possible.
We have a match there on Sunday and will share catch photos with everyone afterwards.
Tunmores Lakes
We now have access only to the smaller of the two lakes, located across the bridge.
The access code is listed in the membership book. It is a peaceful and quiet venue, and we've added more carp over the last few months. We are aiming to introduce further fish around October.
The most popular pegs are 7–10, as they are only a short walk from the car park.
Thank You
