Diss and District Angling Club

Diss and District Angling Club nothing beats the feeling of a tight line Diss and District Angling Club, is centred around the South Norfolk and North Suffolk area of East Anglia.

D.D.A.C is a thriving club which caters for every level of angling , whether you like big carp fishing or bashing out a few silvers, there is always a challenge to be had. D.D.A.C has control over the fishing rights to the Mere in the centre of Diss. The Mere is a lovely water which hold carp to over 20lb as well as a good head of small carp which can be great fun on the pole or waggler. The club also has the use of two pits at Tunmores fishery in Norfolk and Yaxley lake in Yaxley Village. We at Diss control over 5 miles of the River Waveney, from Scole bridge down to Brockdish. Membeship can be obtained through Diss Angling Centre on Victoria rd in Diss.

1st place went to Malcolm Kester who managed an impressive weight of big carp fpr 81lb from peg 8

2nd place was Kelvin Barker with 61lb 4oz on peg 7

3rd place went to Chris Sykes on peg 5 with 34lb 1oz

Todays match was on Diss Mere on a wet day but some good weights came out again.

1st Ashley Emms Peg 34 weight 76lb 8oz of mainly carp on the feeder.

2nd Rob Smith peg 15 weight 59lb 14oz of skimmers with a bonus 18lb carp again on the feeder.

3rd place Malcolm Kester peg 17 weight 21lb 7oz of skimmers also on the feeder.

Great weights gents!!!!

Todays match was moved to Diss Mere with an early start. A nice warm day with a strong wind.

We had a tight top 2 with 1 fish sepperating

1st place was Bubby Davy on peg 34. He had some big skimmers/bream on the feeder to weigh 42lb 3oz.

2nd place on peg 19 was Mark Ellis who.also caught on the feeder to weigh 41lb 15oz. More fish than Bubby but slighly smaller.

3rd place went to Kelvin Barker on peg 36
2 big carp and a handful of bits to weight 24lb 11oz.

4th place was Ben Wilby on peg 35 catchimg smaller fish on the pole to have a final.weight of 21lb 15oz

5th place went to Rob Smith on peg 15 with a weight of 11lb 11oz on the feeder.

It was great to see the big bags of skimmers
coming out. We have another match next week on the Mere so come give it a go and book yourself in.
