Denbigh Carnival/Carnifal Dinbych

Denbigh Carnival/Carnifal Dinbych Official page. The Denbigh Carnival was resurrected in 2013 after an absence of over 10 years. Or would you prefer to try your muscle in the tug of war?

A few old photographs of earlier Carnival floats had been posted on Facebook and a groundswell of reminiscence resulted in a small committee being formed as a spin off from the Denbigh Mid-Summer Festival committee. That committee of enthusiastic volunteers constructed a plan to bring the community together, with a procession of fancy dress, dancing, decorated floats and music leading into the Car

nival field in Middle Park. On the field itself, the organisers had arranged entertainment, stalls, raffle, refreshments, a fun fair and a whole host of family fun that was free to enjoy. The feedback to the event was overwhelmingly positive and 2014’s Carnival was bigger and better. Denbigh Carnival is free to enter, with loads of attractions to keep the whole family entertained. The procession will leave from the Council office Caledfryn at 11am. Does your club, team or group want to enter a float or take part in our fancy dress competition? There are prizes to be won! The Cambria Band will lead the way onto the Carnival field, where visitors will be able to enjoy music, face painting, see the small animal zoo, try archery and master your football skills. The wrestlers are back by popular demand, along with a funfair, bouncy castles, morris dancers and many characters from our theme – the 60s and 70s! Come along in fancy dress! We are also running competitions for Carnival King and Queen with different age groups for princes and princesses!
