Dallas Dash 2026 – Event Day Checklist ✅

It's race day TOMORROW! Here’s a quick checklist to help you get ready:
👟 Running shoes & comfortable kit
💧 Water bottle – stay hydrated! You can refill it at the hall.
🐶 Dog lead – furry friends on leads are welcome outside, but not in the Houldsworth Institute. Please help keep Dallas beautiful by clearing up after them!
👯 Supporters are welcome too! Hopefully they can clear up after themselves!
💷 Cash – for the BBQ after the run. Supporters may enjoy tea, coffee and cake in return for a donation. 🍰CAKE IS FREE FOR RUNNERS!!
🧥 Rain jacket – you just never know!
❌ Please leave your earphones behind.
😊 Big smiles
🚘 Please park at Dallas Primary School, or at the Church and walk along to the Houldsworth Institute (5/10 minutes walk respectively)

📅 Event Day Timings:
9:30am – Registration opens at The Houldsworth Institute 🔢 sign in & collect your race number
10:30am – Kids’ Fun Run 1.5 km
11:00am – 6 km Road Race
11:30am onwards - BBQ - burgers and sausages kindly supplied by Macbeth's butchers - when it's gone it's gone!

🏃‍♀️🏃THE ROUTES🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍➡️

The 1.5k route for the kids start at the Houldsworth Institute heading west out of the village and then cross country through the woods to the north west of the village.
The kids run is open to all but aimed at Under 14s - an adult can accompany their child if desired (no extra charge)! There will be marshals in all the important places to keep everyone right. The track is rough and there are bumps and roots along the way, so participants must take care!
Registration is open from 9:30 - 10:15am. The 1.5k run starts at 10:30 from the Houldsworth Institute.

The 6k Runners will set out from the Houldsworth Institute at 11am heading north out of the village up to the B9010, then west up a gentle hill to Edinvale Farm and turn left down the Mulundy track. Participants will run through the picturesque arch of Dallas Lodge before re-joining the public road to the east of the village. Marshals will be in place to direct runners and there will be many supporters along the circuit! Runners under the age of 14 are welcome to run with a (full paying) adult.
Registration is open from 9:30 - 10:30am. The 6k run starts at 11am from the Houldsworth Institute.
