THIS IS EXCITING! The Isle of Wight’s most haunted house is throwing a Halloween party ….

Yeehaw, partners! on Friday 30th October, Northwood House is transforming into the Northwood House Saloon for one hell of a Halloween hoedown – and you’re formally invited to join The Dead Cowboy Club!

Expect a night of country music, cowboy cocktails, dancing, shooters and spooky Western shenanigans as the ghosts, ghouls, cowboys and cowgirls come out to play.

And this ain’t no ordinary barn dance…

Local heroes Honky-Tonk Highway honky_tonkhighway will be bringing their legendary country sound to the Ballroom, with a set packed with modern and classic country favourites.

Expect the sounds of Brad Paisley, Luke Combs, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Darius Rucker, with twanging guitars, chicken-pickin’ solos, soulful harmonies and plenty of toe-tapping country anthems.

The Ballroom will become the main dance floor, so grab your partner, get those boots moving and prepare to stomp the night away.

And remember – this is Halloween…so you can give your fancy dress look a seriously spooky twist

THE 2026 HOUSE LOUNGE “DELUX DISCO” CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHTS ARE BACK AND OPEN FOR BOOKING!

The Island’s favourite pop-up Christmas Cocktail bar venue will be returning again this December as we get ready to celebrate for our seventh winter season!

With the last six year’s of House Lounge events being such a huge success, we can’t wait to be back at the centre of Christmas socialising once again!

This year our sell-out House Lounge “Delux Disco” Christmas party nights are back and we are offering you and your social group the chance to book in to one of six exclusive evenings and join in the best Christmas parties on the Island!

Great news music fans …THIS SATURDAY! THE HOOTENANNY SPECIAL is live from The Lawn Bar on Saturday 29th August 2026.

The Rocket Men are playing from 6pm-8pm, this event is for the music lovers, The Rocket Men will be bringing you songs from the extensive repertoires of Sir Elton John & the infamous American songwriter Billy Joel. The Lawn bar will be open as usual from 2.30pm.

A good atmosphere will be what you can expect from the start, catch some brilliant music whilst the sun begins to set live on the lawns, from 6pm our amazing house band The Rocket Men will take the stage playing two sets with an interval in-between.

Our friends from So Much Dough Wood-Fired Pizza will out be on the lawns as per usual to provide delicious freshly cooked pizzas…

Today we say farewell to Darren Cool, “Mr Northwood House.” It has been one almighty journey to this point. Darren, whilst working with the Charitable Trust, has been instrumental in the transformation of Northwood House over the last 12 years, taking it from a near-derelict building to a flourishing, multi-purpose events venue at the heart of Cowes.

Darren has always operated under the philosophy of making Northwood “the place to be.” Whether you have celebrated a wedding, attended one of our comedy and jazz events, danced the night away this summer at the Cowes 200 celebrations, browsed or exhibited at our garden and Christmas fairs, or simply walked around the now glorious park and grounds, we think you will agree that this mission statement has become a reality.

We have included a few photos to give a snapshot of the incredible journey so far, a few from the start and a few more recent 📷.

Rest assured the trustees, staff, and volunteers will continue this journey and deliver the ongoing plan to restore and improve Northwood House & Park but this seems like a opportune moment to reflect on the amazing job done already with Darren at the helm.

Everyone here at Northwood House would like to say a massive thank you and wish Darren all the very best. We look forward to you checking in here, Darren!

Daisy Ring Bus marks its first anniversary with a community celebration at Northwood House

Daisy Ring Bus Anniversary
Daisy Ring Bus CIC (Community Interest Company) will celebrate its first anniversary with an afternoon of live entertainment, family activities and community celebration at Northwood House, Cowes, on Sunday 23 August 2026, from 12pm to 4pm.

The event will bring together supporters, volunteers, local organisations and members of the community, honouring those who have played a significant part in Daisy Ring Bus’s first year — with a warm welcome extended to everyone across the Island.
All are welcome to attend.

Daisy Ring Bus was created to provide safe, volunteer-led transport for Isle of Wight cancer patients travelling to hospital appointments in Southampton and Portsmouth, delivered with care and kindness at every step of the journey.

The anniversary celebration will offer something for all ages, with a full programme of entertainment and attractions:
