💙 Tonight is the night 💙

💛🩷💚💙So excited to see TUG OF WAR back in the May Fair Programme again for 2026! It was a brilliant event last year with a strong Glarryford Young Farmers Club team taking home the May Fair Cup after some fierce competition. Should be another fantastic night at Parkview Hockey Club on Tuesday 19 May, with trophies and cash prizes to be won in each Class plus medals for everyone who enters. Balmoral Show 2026

Yesterday, Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster took over the cattle lawn with Beef, Sheep and Dairy Stockjudging Finals, Football Finals, and Tug of War competitions.

We had members competing in every section throughout the day!

Well done to Jessica McConnell, Neil McCrea and Craig Robson on reaching the Stockjudging Finals 🐮🐑 - Congratulations to Jessica who placed 2nd in the beef Stockjudging and Craig who placed 3rd in the beef Stockjudging!🥈🥉🐮

Well done to Holestone A on competing in the football finals and securing 3rd place ⚽️🥉

A massive congratulations as well to the girls’ Tug of War team for competing this year and representing the club so well 💙

Holestone YFC are currently seeking a 2026 club exchange within the UK 🌍

Currently celebrating our 82nd year, we are an active club within the YFCU community with over 100 members 🙌🏻🙌🏻

We are based in the village of Parkgate, County Antrim. A central location within Northern Ireland, a 10 minute drive to Belfast International Airport and 20 minutes from both Larne and Belfast Ports 🚢✈️

Holestone YFC have participated in many club exchanges and are seeking an active club who want to have good craic and make some lifelong friends across the water 🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼

We expect to have 20 members who wish to travel to your side of the world and we could host a similar number, plus or minus a few! 🌟

Build it competition 🔨☕️

Members travelled to Ballymena Market on Thursday night to take part in the Build It competition! 🔨

Everyone enjoyed the evening working together to build a coffee table, showing great teamwork and creativity throughout the challenge.

To finish off a successful night, members treated themselves to a well-deserved McDonald’s on the way home! 🍔👏

Holestone YF are delighted to announce that we have successfully COMPLETED the Belfast City Marathon & Relay 🏃‍♂️

After weeks of training, sore legs, questionable decisions, and a lot more sweat than expected, all three of our relay teams made it across the finish line in one piece — which in itself feels like a victory! 💪

A huge congratulations to Laura Patterson, who somehow found the energy (and determination!) to run the full 26.2 miles. Absolutely incredible — we are in awe! 👏

It was a fantastic day full of team spirit, laughs, and just a little bit of suffering… and who knows, we might even be back next year (once we recover!).

Most importantly, we were proud to take part in support of such an important cause — Leukemia & Lymphoma NI ❤️
