Our Story
Hello, Welcome to our official light switch on page. A place to find out all the latest news and information regarding the event, a page to help the event grow bigger and better each year and somewhere for everyone to enjoy and share the event together. Harley’s Christmas Light Switch On began in 2015 after we tragically lost our beautiful 4yr old son Harley, on 28th July 2015. That Christmas, we as a family wanted to do something for Harley in his memory and also something for the local community as a thank you for all of their amazing support. We decided to put on a Christmas light switch on at our stable yard in Gastard. We invited friends, family and the local community to bring a little something to hang on the tree in memory of Harley. We were extremely overwhelmed with how magical and special the evening was, enjoyed by all that came and the tree with all of the memories looked amazing. After this first event was such a success we’ve decided to make it bigger and better each year, adding more lights, bigger trees, inviting more people, taking donations for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and inviting people to hang something on the tree in memory of their own loved ones.
Our goal is to make it a yearly tradition/event that everyone looks forward to in Gastard.
