The Wild Boar Chase is an off-road cycle ride in the Forest of Dean. Choose from 21 to 47 miles.

A shorter ride - The Humbug Chase provides an 8 mile off-road ride for 8-12 year olds. Organised by the local Lions clubs since 2012 and run by volunteers.

For those of you who would like a T-Shirt for the Wild Boar Chase off-road cycle event on 20th September, the T-Shirt sales will close on Tuesday 13th September.
This is to allow us time to get them printed before the event.

The entry for the 2026 Wild Boar Chase off-road cycle challenge is now open. The event will take place on Sunday 20th September 2026 and offers routes form 21 to 47 mile in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. The event starts and finishes on the Speech House field, near Coleford, Gloucestershire.
We are offering an early-bird entry of £25 per rider until 30th April. After that the entry is £35 per rider.

The weather forecast for the Wild Boar Chase off-road cycle ride is now good. With under 2 days to go, now is the time to get your entry in. Please enter by 6pm Saturday 20th September to be sure of an entry.
Many thanks to those of you that have already entered. - Just a small request: when you park your vehicle, please leave the sheet with your rider number visible from outside the car. This will enable us to contact anyone who's vehicle is left in the car park. Have a great ride.

Just a few days left now to enter the Wild Boar off-road cycle challenge in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire on Sunday 21st Sept, start at 10am. Choose from 22 to 44 miles.
Also there is an accompanied junior ride, the Humbug Chase, for 8-12 yrs old riders. Why not enter your child to represent their school and ride the 9 mile route with them? 😀
