Evening all,

We’re looking for teams to fill our Chesterfield YBC little and large tournament on Xmas eve. Squads are at 5pm and 6pm at Chesterfield Bowl. £30 per team for 3 games and must consist of one adult and one U22.

This is a fun event to end the year, so only a trophy to lift for the winner.

If you’re interested, please get in touch with myself or Chesterfield Bowl as soon as possible.

🎳 Results 🎳

So our very first champions are… Steve Kay and Jamie Dolan (Powerplay Pro Shop)

Posting a fantastic 1468 scratch for 1507 with handicap. That was tough to beat. Steve’s phenomenal 778 and Jamie was no slack at 690.

In 2nd was Chesterfields own “Double Trouble” - George and Bobby Layton with 1442 (hcp). Fantastic work lads

3rd place goes to Craig Parker and our Youngest senior Simon Marshall, posting 1425 in the last squad of the tournament.

In our scratch division, sponsored by East Midlands Catering service: (ruling states that a team of the same two bowlers can only cash once)

1st £500: Robbos Pro shop 1414 - Craig Parker and Glenn Robson
2nd £350: Suspect Hard Drives 🙄 Rob Harding and Warren Crookes
3rd £150: Chansiri’s gone - Tom Gardiner and Rob Harding

FINAL TOTAL RAISED…

£4,206…

Wow truly amazing. I want to thank everyone that has contributed to the figure by getting involved over the last few months and particularly over the weekend. A thank you goes to the BTBA as they have very generously donated back the sanction fee for all the bowlers who participated and a thank you to Derbyshire Tenpin association for allowing the non bowler fee to also be donated to charity.

This donation will go a long way for Macmillan and Ashgate hospice. We also raised money for Chesterfield YBC who will benefit from that funding to help keep running their excellent youth club and bringing new bowlers into the sport.

DETAILS FOR THE WEEKEND

Now that all the confirmation emails have been sent out. Please see below the details of the weekend:

- Chesterfield Bowl will be open from 8:30 AM both days.

- You must register and pay prior to bowling (in the bar area). Please do this 15-30 minutes prior to your squad start time. Squads are being run on a tight schedule so we need to avoid delays where possible.

- Optional £5 squad scratch pot must be paid at registration.

- If you are paying on the day please BRING CASH as the bowl cannot give cash back to everyone. Bank details will be available at registration should it be needed.

- 5 minutes practice before starting your squad.

- Clothing rule - NO DENIM, VESTS OR BASEBALL CAPS to be worn.

- Alcohol can be consumed and please keep glasses/food away from the playing area to avoid any accidents.

- Please be patient and kind to staff and tournament helpers, its the first time for some of us running a tournament, we will do our best to make things run smoothly.

- Have fun! (cliché I know sorry)
