No matter how long you’ve been in business, I can guarantee there is stuff you say that holds you back.
You probably don’t even know you’re saying it; most people are not tbf, as it’s often subtle, probably throw-away and definitely part of your everyday language.
However it appears, the outcome is the same: you stay safe, small and stuck.
So, what're the top five?
In at #5: I’m a procrastinator.
(A personal fave, because this is also me.)
No matter how much time you have up front, you won’t start it until it’s five to midnight.
F*ck no.
Because you:
- live for the buzz,
- would get bored doing it earlier,
- wouldn’t know what to do if you got it done early, so you’d better not go there,
- don’t know how to do it, anyway (omg, did someone say that out loud?)
So you're never gonna address it, cos y’know, you're a procrastinator... f*ck it, you're a chronic procrastinator.
And even though you know there’s research that proves that those who procrastinate suffer higher stress and usually deliver a lower quality of work, you're not gonna change cos you're a procrastinator.
It’s what you do, it’s who you are.
So, there we go.
Nice, stuck and stressed and in need of days off afterwards to recover from the self-induced ordeal.
Where do I sign up?
Nice, stuck and stressed. (Oh and small, cos there’s no time to grow your business, either...)
It’s beautiful in its simplicity, isn’t it?
So, if you’d like to stop being a procrastinator and actually do the work when you planned to do it, instead of late at night after you’ve spaffed your afternoon up the wall, (and create time for you, your family, your friends, your business growth and prevent burn out), DM me.
We’ll unpick what’s going on (cos procrastination isn't straight forward) then get you the tools you need and accountability to keep you moving forwards, cos this s**t needs support and Courage to change.
But change, it will.
