Mini runners welcome! Children under 11 can take part in the Castle Bytham 5K Trail Run on 20th June – they just need an accompanying adult to run alongside them.

Guess what's back? The Castle Bytham 5K Trail Run (CB5K) is returning on 20th June as part of the Midsummer Festival, and online entry is NOW OPEN. Last year 100+ brilliant people ran through some gorgeous Lincolnshire countryside. This year we want more. Possibly a lot more. Will you join us?

CB5K 2026 is officially on.

We have until 20th June to get ourselves into something that loosely resembles “running shape”. There is still plenty of time, but now is the moment to start moving rather than relying on optimism/gravity.

Strongly recommended: find a running buddy. This helps with motivation, accountability, and shared regret when it is cold, wet, or uphill.

Behind the scenes, we are already underway. This month we are coordinating with the lovely landowners to make sure everything is properly permitted!

More updates soon. In the meantime, shoes on, small runs first, and no heroics.
