HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO THE MHW NETWORK!

We can hardly believe it’s been a whole year since Dawn Evans launched the very first Mental Health & Wellbeing Network in Cardiff!

To celebrate, we’re throwing a special birthday party on 19th June… and everyone is invited to bring a guest FREE of charge!

And to celebrate her own birthday, Dawn is kindly waiving the usual Guest Registration fee, so if you know someone who’s curious about the network and would love to experience it for themselves, this is the perfect opportunity.

What started in Cardiff has already grown into a positive and supportive community with networks launched in:
📍 Llanelli
📍 Llandudno
📍 Torfaen
📍 Chester
📍 London
📍 Belfast

…with Bristol and Brighton launching soon, and further networks planned for Torquay, Inverness, Kent, Manchester, Swansea, Liverpool, Birmingham, Carmarthenshire, Gloucestershire, and Dublin.

The MHW Network is all about collaboration, connection and community. It’s a welcoming space for people who absolutely understand the mental health and wellbeing world, whether personally, professionally, or both.

Together, members share experiences, support one another, challenge stigma, learn from expert speakers, discover opportunities, and build genuine relationships with likeminded people who care about making a difference.

Membership includes:
✨ In-person and online networking events
✨ Speaker opportunities
✨ Member promotion and directory listings
✨ Resources, tools and discounts
✨ A supportive, private community

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this birthday celebration is the perfect place to start.

So come along to the birthday celebrations on 19th June, and find out what it's all about!

3. Shakespeare!

Can you imagine what he'd have made of The Ajuda Foundation Creative Writing Competition?

Find out more here: https://foundationcreativewriting.my.canva.site/? or send an email to [email protected]

What if troubled writers from history could have entered the Ajuda Foundation Competition?

3. Shakespeare

Shakespeare would probably have entered our competition three times under false names, writing a funny short story about London anxiety, a tragic memoir documenting his struggles with poor mental health, and a deeply questionable sonnet sequence about burnout.

The Ajuda Foundation Creative Writing Competition welcomes every kind of writer, from first-timers to old theatrical souls wrestling their thoughts by candlelight at 2am – all the madness, and the method in’t.

2. Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Hemingway wouldn't have overcomplicated things. He would have written the truest sentence that he could get down on the page, and then gone for another one, and more and more sentences, till he’d finished.

The Ajuda Foundation Creative Writing Competition asks writers to explore mental health and wellbeing through storytelling, poetry and memoir.
