Cardiff Bay’s historic dry docks could be getting a £17m transformation 🧖‍♀️

Finnish leisure developer Nordic Urban has unveiled plans to transform Cardiff’s Grade II-listed Mount Stuart Graving Docks into Allas Cardiff, a new outdoor bathing and sauna facility.

A planning application is expected to be submitted to Cardiff Council next month, with Finnish architecture practice OOPEAA leading the design alongside UK landscape practice GROSS.MAX and specialist leisure practice Space & PLACE.

From Victorian dry docks to saunas and outdoor pools, Cardiff Bay could be getting a very different kind of waterfront experience. 🌊

What do you think about these new plans?

A hidden gem hiding in plain sight in the middle of St David's / Dewi Sant, Cardiff 🍕

Surrounded by chains, Ciliegino is an independent Italian restaurant bringing an authentic taste of Italy to Cardiff. 🇮🇹 Originally from Italy, the restaurant opened its first and only British branch here in Cardiff in 2017.

The pizza is the star of the show🍕, their dough is prepared for 48 hours before being cooked in a traditional pizza oven partially made from lava from Mount Etna.

It’s now been named a Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best 2026 winner by Tripadvisor! Congratulations Ciliegino Restaurant Cardiff!

Have you tried their pizza yet?
