Keen hobbyists attending Warhammer Alliance Canterbury today!

Lots of preparation for the new edition, including rules tuition and undercoating!

It's fantastic to see friendships forged between pupils from various Kent schools including The Canterbury Academy, Simon Langton Grammar Sch For Boys Canterbury, Simon Langton Girls' Grammar School, Barton Court Grammar School, St Anselm's Catholic School and more!! 🎓

The event pack for our big November Teams event is nearly ready, we're just awaiting the last few details on 11th edition team play!!

I am saddened to hear of the passing of undeniably one of the most influential figures, certainly in my formative hobby years, the absolute legend John Blanche.

His haunting style made the horrors of the Warhammer universe 'real' in the most wonderful way.

For me, his art work was key to getting me into the hobby which is such a huge part of my life today.

In fact it was spotting the 'skeleton horde' in GW Croydon window as a kid on the way to the car park that eventually led to me going to 'the shop with the skeletons in it'. 💀

Join us day one of the new edition and play two lovely games of 40k!

This will be somewhat of a beta event, but in theory we will have all the information (rules, points, app, missions etc) to run 11th..... In theory 😅

A draft 11th edition event pack is already available on my website, the key difference is that this event will conclude after game 2 and the only prizes will be the friends we make along the way! And be home by tea time! ☕

Excellent news to see that The London Grand Tournament will use the new GW terrain format!!

It is really positive that the largest events in the country offer a play experience closer to that intended.

Additionally, this will make the transition from local events (such as mine!) to larger events much more straightforward for newer players!!

So long big L shaped boxes, you will not be missed!! (by me at least, let me know what you think in the comments 👇)

With the official launch date for the new edition confirmed as the 20th of June, this means that the LGT 2026 will be using the new rules for the matched play 40k main event.

Many players have questions about how we plan to handle this changeover, especially at the scale that this year is shaping up to be - With last year the biggest event in the world and this year on trend to be even bigger!
