Dear Runners,

We have now been told by Race Timing Solutions that the results have been checked, corrected and are now final. They can be viewed on the Race Timing Solutions website: https://results.racetimingsolutions.co.uk/results.aspx?CId=16269&RId=2000

They have also altered the category results based on the revised times and positions.

Race Timing Solutions have agreed to send out the prizes to those who did not receive them on the day, so if you finished in the top three overall or as a category winner and were not presented with your prize on Sunday, you should receive one soon.

We hope to upload photos of the Festival very soon.

Once again, we are incredibly sorry for the issues on the day and the frustration this caused.

We hope that despite the issue with the chip timing you all enjoyed the event. We will be doing everything we can to make sure this issue does not reoccur next year. We hope to see you all there in 2025.

Dear runners,

We have been trying to engage with Race Timing Solutions since Sunday afternoon. We have spoken to them today and they have told us that it was an error with the finish line equipment that caused so many errors with results. They had a camera at the finish line, so should be able to correct the mistakes.

Please be assured that the committee is doing everything it can to urge Race Timing Solutions to correct and update the results. This is taking them some time. We understand that partial corrections have been made this evening but that they are not final.

Once we have a set of results we will be able to correct the prize categories.

We share your frustration and are working to ensure results are updated as quickly as possible.

We apologise sincerely for the frustration this has caused.

Thank you to everyone who supported and ran today at the Abington Festival of Running 2024.

The race committee are working with the timing supplier, Race Timing Solutions, to find out more about the challenges they had today.

Hopefully we will be able to provide further information tomorrow. Sorry once again to those affected.

Abington Festival Of Running 2024, held on the 6th October offering entrants a choice of 10k, 5k and 2k courses that are fast and sure to be your new PB day.

This year there is a chance to pit our club against other running clubs in the 10k race, in a bid to win the club trophy for 2024. The top 4 fastest finishing times from our club members will automatically put us in the mix to win this year's trophy.

Entry is via the Let's Do This events website,

This well established event raises money for the local primary school.

Don't miss out on taking part in an event on an officially marked out course which is flat and fast.

There is lots of free secure parking, great road access links and a delicious cake sale that raises money for the local pre-school, I think this makes the cakes guilt free!
