Pink Festival Group is a charity based in Cambridge whose aim is to celebrate the diversity of the community through the arts, whilst making a profit to feed back into the LGBT+ charitable sector locally. We aim to rais
e awareness of issues faced by LGBT+ people, foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds and, as a result, help combat discrimination and other negative social attitudes towards LGBT+ people. Since then the Pink Festival has registered as a charity and has run events throughout the city, celebrating local artists and raising money for local LGBT charities. OUR HISTORY
Pink Festival originally started life in 2003 as a one-day inclusive and accessible festival event for the LGBT+ and wider community in Cambridge and surrounding area. It evolved over the years and became a key date in the city’s events calendar. After a five year break, in 2016 Pink Festival Group became a registered charity with the intention of not only creating amazing, inclusive, LGBT+ festival events but also fringe events and to provide a network of support and social opportunities for the our community, their friends and families.
