Unfortunately, due to the strong winds and heavy rain forecast for later today, and the outdoor nature of the event, we have had to make the decision to conclude today’s event at 5pm for the safety and comfort of all visitors and staff.

From live entertainment at the Knights Park By The Hill Group Stage, to crafting, LEGO and football fun in the activities area, pilates in the rain (👏 to everyone who joined!), charity stalls, handmade treasures, and food from across the globe - Eddington’s very first carnival was full of colour, energy, and community spirit.

And the best part? We get to do it all again tomorrow… 🎉

🎉✨ The wait is over… Eddington’s FIRST-EVER Carnival is happening THIS WEEKEND! ✨🎉

Join us at the Eddington Cricket Pitch for two days of community, culture, and celebration. From live music and family activities to fitness sessions, craft stalls, and food from around the world - there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

The countdown is on… Eddington’s first-ever Carnival is almost here! Join us at the Eddington Cricket Pitch on 13th & 14th September for a celebration of community and culture with highlights such as...

🎶 The Knights Park By The Hill Group Stage where you’ll find live entertainment from Cores Do Samba with the unforgettable rhythms of Brazil, Indian dance from Sanskruti Cambridge, the Eddington Community Orchestra, children’s entertainment from Crumb & Bass, and toe-tapping covers from The Koala Syndicate.

🎭 Around the site, enjoy a variety of community activities, from Eddington’s first Curious Camera Obscura (Saturday only) and Asian-themed activities with the UK Education Garden, to crafts, games, and singing with the Woodcraft Folk, laughter with the Cambridge Pentacle Magic Club, pasta-making workshops with Danni Cooks (book in advance), and a community book and toy swap.

💪 There’ll be free fitness and wellbeing sessions too: Pilates with OptiMum (Sat 2–3pm), Yoga & Pilates Flow with R3FORM (Sat 3–4pm), and drop-in challenges with MittFit (Sun 12–2pm).

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 For families, there’s the Durkan Homes LEGO Station, Present Made Crafting Station, Knights Park Kick Zone, a community sandpit, bubble fun, Melody Bear Early Years Dance Class (Sunday 2–2:30pm), plus a funfair with rides including a Helter Skelter, Mini Wheel, Teacups, and a Haunted House.

🛍️ Browse retail stalls showcasing unique local craft, from Japanese-inspired claywork to stationery and notebooks. Charity stalls will include the RSPB, Experience Cambridge – and yes, even a giant pink duck! 🦆

🍴 And of course, come hungry: enjoy Caribbean flavours from JEZ Guyanese Cuisine, Indonesian dishes from Dapur CUK, Filipino delights from Kuya’s Catering, and authentic Canadian poutine, fried chicken, and loaded fries from Papas Locas (Saturday only). Sweet treats will include cakes and gelato, with drinks from Gentleman Jim’s Bar, Eddie’s Café, and Granny Ma’s Bubble Tea.

There’s an eclectic mix of activities happening at the Eddington Carnival this month – and one of the highlights is the Danni Cooks Hands-On Pasta Making Experience! 🍝

This intimate, al fresco workshop will transport you straight to the heart of Italy. Roll up your sleeves and learn to make fresh pasta from scratch during this small group experience in a relaxed outdoor setting.
