Monyash Quilters

Monyash Quilters Monyash Quilters has been in existence for over 27 years. This regular event is a triennial exhibition. New members are very welcome.

A friendly group who meet in Monyash with a wide range of creative talent in patchwork, quilting, knitting, embroidery, crocheting, crafting and much, much more. It originally started its life in the Village Hall and had more local members but as the years have gone on the venue changed to the Methodist Church and the members come from further afield such as Chesterfield Buxton and Leek. Since the

pandemic, we have moved back into Monyash Village Hall where we showcased our projects in an exhibition in August 2022 and donated the proceeds to Assistance Dogs and Christie’s. This is viewed by everyone with both excited anticipation and exhilaration. We have had distinguished visitors attending our exhibition; in 2012 the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire came to have a look at our Quilts and even signed our visitors book. Over the years the group has raised thousands of pounds for local charities. The group has joined in with activities with the church such as the Christmas Tree Festival and Flower Festival and is very much part of the community. We always enjoy our annual Christmas lunch at The Bull’s Head in Monyash. We meet every Tuesday 2.00 to 4.00pm and 10.00am to 4.00pm on the third Saturday of every month.
