🧵 The Great HBOS Carnival Bunting Bonanza!
The Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea Carnival Committee is thrilled to launch a brand-new community project, and we need you to help us bring it to life!
We are creating a massive, community-made string of carnival bunting, and we want your creative touch to make it extra special.
🎨 What is the Bunting Bonanza?
Design your very own flag to be stitched into our collaborative community bunting! Your design can feature:
* A picture or colorful artwork
* A written memory of past carnivals
* A celebration of your favourite year, cart, or club
* An expression of what Carnival means to you
Open to everyone—all ages and all artistic abilities are welcome!
📍 How to Take Part
* Get your fabric: Collect your blank flag fabric from Baby Bee Crafty (College Street, Burnham-on-Sea) or Collective Dreams (High Street, Burnham-on-Sea).
* Get creative: Design your flag! (The only rule: Please keep it clean—any inappropriate images or words will not be accepted).
* Drop it off: Return your finished flag to the collection point and pay the £1 entry fee to help our amazing helpers turn your masterpiece into bunting.

From October Half-Term until after Carnival, go on a trail around town to spot your creation! Your flags will be proudly displayed in the shop windows of our fantastic collaborative partners:

The countdown is officially on, and we can hardly believe we're into double figures already!

In just 99 days, the streets of Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea will come alive as we celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea Carnival—a remarkable milestone celebrating 80 years of carnival tradition, community spirit, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the carnival over the past 80 years. Whether you're taking part, volunteering, sponsoring, or lining the streets to cheer on the procession, you're helping make our 80th Anniversary Celebration one to remember.

We had an amazing time fundraising at The Godney Gathering Glastonbury for the second year in a row! Our committee had a blast and loved working alongside our friends from North petherton carnival.

Huge thanks to Mike, Sue, and the Godney Gathering team for having us back! 🙏🥳

A huge thank you to all who supported us at the Ritz social club tonight. The £193 raised goes towards our operating costs of the carnival. Every penny really does make a difference. Special thank you to Liam the Quizmaster and the team at the Ritz.
