Meet the Chair: Gin
The Gin category at the International Spirits Challenge is chaired by Joanne Moore, Master Distiller for the Premium Gin portfolio at Quintessential Brands.
Joanne is the guardian of the historic Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin recipe and the creator behind some of the most recognised modern gin brands, including BLOOM Gin, Opihr Spiced Gin, Thomas Dakin Small Batch Gin and Berkeley Square Gin.
She joined G&J Distillers in 1996 as a Biochemistry graduate, starting in Quality Control where she developed a deep understanding of the entire production process, from raw ingredients through to distillation and bottling. Her passion for botanicals and product development led to her appointment as Master Distiller in 2006, becoming only the seventh Master Distiller at G&J Distillers since 1761.
With decades of distilling expertise, Joanne leads the gin judging panel to ensure every entry is assessed with precision and care.
