Buntingford 10 And Other Local Race Dates Ror Your Calendar:

2️⃣The Ware Festival Of Running on Sunday 5th July 2026 - another amazing charity event hosted by our friends in Ware.

3️⃣Entries to Buntingford 10 miler will open on Tuesday 1st September. Get ready!

4️⃣ Our sister race, the Harvest Trail will be on Sunday 20th September. Similar to the Buntingford 10, this is hosted by Royston Runners. You will be running along the best trails around Royston.

5️⃣The Buntingford 10 Mile will be on Bank Holiday Monday 28th December 2026. Let's go! We look forward to seeing you at some of these local events this year.

Our Melbourn Fun Run takes place on Sunday 10 May 2026 and is raising funds for Melbourn Primary School. Thank you to the runners, spectators and volunteers at Buntingford 10. Together we raised £627 for Ward Freman Community Pool Group CIO and £588 for Royston & District Community Transport 🙏

Thank you to Everyone involved with the Buntingford 10 on Sunday 28th December. By selling coffee and cakes we raised £627 to help with the swimming pool refurbishments which should start early in the new year!
Well done to the Royston Runners volunteers who gave up their morning to help, we had just enough cakes and sausage rolls to feed them all at the end.
Congratulations to all our cake bakers (Alison, Alex, Claudia, Frazer, Jane, Madela, Sheila, Tanya, Tina, Tricia, Wendy and anyone else I've forgotten) - there were many compliments given.

Advance notice that entries for the Buntingford Year End 10M will open on 1st September 10:00 BST (make a note of 1st September in your diary!)

When is the race? Sunday 28th December 2025 at 10:30am

Location: Freman College, Bowling Green Lane, Buntingford, SG9 9BT

Cost: £23-25 includes chip timing and 40th anniversary medal.

Who is the race open to? It is open to anyone aged 16 and over. We will also be incorporating the Hertfordshire Veterans Road Running County Championship.

Competition time!

We are running a competition for the medal design of this year's Buntingford Year End 10 Mile road race medal (and ribbon). The winning designer will have their name on everyone's medal - a prize of utmost prestige.

The race will be 28th December 2025, but manufacturing and shipping will take 6 months, therefore please can we have all design entries submitted to [email protected] by Easter Monday 21st April.

This is the biggest event in the Royston Runners calendar, it has run for over 35 years and has become one of the most popular 10 mile runs in the event calendar. You can make any design you like but it would be appropriate to incorporate (somewhere on the medal or ribbon) the year (2025), name of the race (Buntingford Year End 10), the Royston Runners logo and crow illustration. I can send you a word or PDF version if you prefer. Electronic or hand drawn designs are fine. We are working on an update to the crow illustration within the shield, so the logo you add to the design may be updated to allow brand consistency.

Attached are two previous medals but we welcome any design you like. Good luck!
