We’re delighted to announce Small World Cinema’s Community Film Festival, a two-day celebration of film, creativity and stories from around the world, right here in Bromley!

Expect a packed programme of films from around the world, animation workshops, creative activities, delicious cakes, food and even a special slapstick screening with live piano!

Our programme has been created with the help of our local Young Programmers, and every screening comes with its own creative activity or event. Make animation, create artwork, explore optical toys, play in our toddler sensory playground and much more.

Come along, bring your family and friends and join us for a weekend of films and creative fun for the whole family.

Do you love watching films? Do you like talking about films and convincing your friends to watch them too? Want to help decide what people see at a film festival?

Small World Cinema has received a fantastic collection of short films from around the world and we need you to help us choose the best ones!

Join our Young Programmers team and get behind the scenes of a real film festival. You'll watch a selection of short films, discuss and debate them with other young people, and decide which films deserve a place in this year's Small World Cinema Family Film Festival in September.

Suitable for everyone aged 3+
Discover the hidden magic of movie sound in this fun, hands-on family workshop. Children and their families will explore the world of Foley (the art of creating sound effects for film) using everyday objects to recreate everything from galloping horses and croaking frogs to crackling fires and rolling thunder.
