Wessex Salon Culinaire The UK's largest young chef and waiting competitions Entries must be received by 1 March 2011.

In association with the Craft Guild of Chefs and sponsored by Nestlé Professional®’s CHEF® and Coastline Produce, the Wessex Salon Culinaire runs from 15 to 16 March at the Bournemouth International Centre and forms a key part of the annual Hotel and Catering Show. The event consists of more than 40 competitions for ambitious chefs and restaurant service professionals in employment, training or ed

ucation and the majority of competition classes will be held on both days for all levels. New competition classes have been added to this year’s schedule and include the creation and preparation of a Vegan hot main course. There are a number of key competitions to participate in and these include the popular Nestlé Professional® CHEF® at Salon which is open to experienced chefs. Chefs have 40 minutes to prepare, cook and present two plated portions of a main course and the chosen dish must include Nestlé® CHEF® Fumet de Poisson. Other competitions include the Caterer, Licensee and Hotelier News Student Chef of the Year and the Coastline Produce Sea Bass Challenge. Chefs have the opportunity to enter as many competition classes as they wish and entry forms can be downloaded via www.hotel-expo.co.uk.
