Tonight we had the pleasure of meeting the parents and carers of the 20 young people who will be taking part in this year’s Camp Vimto. 💜

We love being part of a programme that creates opportunities, builds confidence, and makes a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

This year’s group will include students from Hollingworth Academy and Wardle Academy, and we’re excited to support them throughout their journey.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended this evening. We can’t wait for the student launch in September and see what this year’s group can achieve.

We believe that educating young people on mental health & wellbeing can change the course of a young person’s life and build resilience from a young age.

Good luck to Bolton Wanderers this weekend in the EFL League One play-off final.

28,000 and counting travelling to Wembley Stadium and many more cheering on from home.

Let’s hope it’s one to remember and the children watching are talking about it for years to come… just like we still do about Reading in 1995 (maybe with a little bit less stress 😊)

Football has a way of bringing people together and a win this weekend would give the whole town a real lift.

Today we delivered a session with Year 12 students at focussed on a simple but important question:

“Who do you want to be?”

Not what job title.
Not what salary.
Not what university.

But what values, qualities and character traits will shape the person you become.

A brilliant group of young adults who were reflective, engaged and open throughout 👏🏻

Whether you go to a fellowship meeting or go to rehab, give it your all.

Don’t play at recovery or your addiction will be waiting to drag you back in.

Treat it like life or death. Because in reality that’s what it is.

There’s no happy end for active addiction. It’s either a life of misery or your funeral.

Big respect to those that give it 100%.

To those that don’t, things can change if you want to. The key to that is you 💙

With this week being Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme being Take Action, who’s in?

15/05/2026

To wrap up Mental Health Awareness Week 2026, we wanted to share a video from one of our school sessions delivered in partnership with The JD Foundation.

This academic year, we’ve worked with thousands of students across Greater Manchester, talking all things mental health and resilience.

The programme combines impactful lived experience education with digital content and resources from the JD team.

In this session, Oly shared his mental health journey and his experiences with OCD and ADHD.

Every story at Whysup is different, but each person who stands on that stage has faced challenges, worked hard, dug deep and overcome them. It takes courage to share that with young people.

We love connecting with students and delivering real-world education that can make a difference.

A huge thank you to The JD Foundation for backing this programme and giving us the opportunity to work with thousands of young people.

The Mental Health Awareness Week theme is Take Action.

This is what action looks like. 👊🏻
