🤍 An All-White Wedding. A Love Like This 🤍
I had the honour of witnessing something truly sacred this weekend...
An all-white wedding, inspired by the homecoming of a beloved grandparent - a return, a remembrance, a full-circle moment.
But it felt like more than that.
For me, it echoed the energy of so many African diasporic gatherings...
Where white isn’t just a colour — it’s spirit. It’s reverence. It’s ancestral. It’s alive.
This wedding felt like a living prayer.
A tribute to q***r love -
Love that has had to rise... despite laws, despite silence, despite centuries of
“no”.

And yet... here we are.
Soft. Radiant. Unapologetic.
Surrounded by chosen family, extended q***r kin, and a community that gets it.

There was something deeply spiritual woven through it all -
A quiet devotion, rooted in their Buddhist practice,
A sense of presence... compassion... unity.

It wasn’t just a wedding.
It was equality embodied.
It was love, witnes in its fullest expression.

It was culture, resistance, and tenderness all in one breath.
Tearful. Beautiful. Righteous.
High-vibe in the way only truth can be.
And | left feeling... fuller. Softer.
Reminded.

Love is love.
And love always finds a way home.

Birmingham Peace Garden designated as a monument to peace and a memorial to all those killed in armed conflict.

St Thomas' Peace Garden -
The grounds were laid out in 1955 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. They were redesigned in 1995 to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War II. When the world leaders came to Birmingham for the G8 summit in 1998, each planted a tree of a type representing their respective country.

🌾✨ Lughnasadh Blessings ✨🌾

As the first harvest festival of the Celtic year, Lughnasadh (Lammas) is a time of gratitude, gathering, and golden abundance. 🌻🌿 Traditionally, people came together to honour the land, feast, dance, and give thanks for the fruits of their labour.

It’s also a sacred threshold — a perfect moment to mark life’s rites of passage. 🍞🔥 Whether through a handfasting ceremony, celebrating love under the late-summer sun, or a natural burial, returning a loved one to the earth with dignity and reverence — Lughnasadh reminds us of the cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

These ancient traditions live on when we weave them into modern ceremonies, creating something deeply personal, spiritual, and timeless. ✨

Would you choose a Celtic or Pagan festival to honour your milestone? 🌾💍🌙
