A little glance back to some of our favourite daytime moments of the 42nd Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival... we absolutely love to see our audience members dancing the day away.

Soundtracked by the wonderful Steve Fishwick and band.

Night time edition coming soon...

A little bit of Baggies history with a Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival connection… ⚽🎶

Big Bear Records’ 1979 release “West Bromwich Albion” by Ray King, celebrating Cyrille Regis, Laurie Cunningham and Brendon Batson, has been given a new lease of life by Adrian Goldberg’s Jenny’s Feather Factory.

Cyrille himself was a welcome visitor to the Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival in his later years. In 2016, he even found himself reminiscing with our Chinese volunteers about West Bromwich Albion’s famous tour of China.

Lovely to see this little piece of Albion and Big Bear history back in circulation nearly 50 years later.

What a festival! Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival, you’ve been brilliant! ✨🎷
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along, danced, clapped, sang, smiled and helped us celebrate some fantastic Jazz and Blues.

To our incredible artists – thank you for bringing the music and filling Birmingham with your talent. 🎶
To our wonderful venues – thank you for giving the music a home. 🏠
And, of course, thank you to our amazing audience - none of this would be possible without you! 🥳

A special shout out to our fantastic sponsors and supporters, especially Sandwell Council, Rockefellas TV, Quayspace, Plough & Harrow Hotel and everyone else who helped make this festival happen.

From toe-tapping tunes to unforgettable performances, we hope you had as much fun as we did!
Thank you for making Birmingham swing… until next year! ❤️

🎷Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August🎷

The sad news is - this was the last weekend of the Jazz and Blues festival 😢
The good news is - We're back again next year!🤩

But first , Let's take a look at some of the highlights over the spectacular weekend.

🎶 Ben Toury gave audiences an exclusive first time performance of his newly released album "Wild Boogie Woogie".

🎶Festival-goers were seen dancing the night away to Brad Henshaw at Barbara's Bier Haus.

🎶We welcomed festival newcomer Steve Waterman as he dazzled the audience at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

We also saw performances from Florence Joelle, The Delta Aces, Jake Henry and so many more incredibly talented artists!

✨It's safe to say it's impossible to fit all of these amazing performances into just the one post; be sure keep an eye out for more festival highlights across the next coming days✨

Please let us know your thoughts in the comments below☺️
