London International Canoe Polo Tournament 29th and 30th July 2017

Polo combines paddling and ball handling skills with an exciting contact team game. The event will once again be at Danson Park.

Entry Details:

Entry to the 15th London International will only be considered on receipt of completed Entry and entry fee
All players are responsible for ensuring that the

y have third party liability insurance up to £10 million and will be required to provide proof. (Most Governing bodies provide this as part of membership). All visitors to the accommodation and tournament venues will abide by the rules and conditions of entry to the International as well as any site rules issued. All Persons attending the event are responsible for disclosing prior to the event any medical conditions that may affect any treatment that they may require in the case of a medical emergency
All players should be aged 11 years or above. Any child younger than 11 who wishes to participate in this event must seek permission from the Event Organisers prior to the event. All persons attending the event and are under the age of 16 should have a designated adult who will be on site and responsible for them

New as of 2012: Weatherproof Marquee with integrated Beer Tent. Entry Fee is £80 (GBP). On site facilities:

There will be a BBQ on Saturday night (with improved vegetarian option), which will have to be pre-booked and paid for by 12:00 midday on the Saturday. Various foods and drinks will be available throughout the weekend at reasonable prices. There will be a Bar running during the weekend. Location: South East London (only 100km from Dover). Easy airports for flying teams Gatwick, Stansted and London City

Accommodation: Camping on Friday and Saturday night on site in Danson Park. Competition: The tournament will be held on 4 pitches. All teams are expected to provide suitably competent match officials. (2 Referees, 2 line judges and 1 Time/Score keeper). It is not possible for participants to use gas cooking appliances or barbecues in the park at any time. More details will be available on confirmation of accepted entry. Dear Polo Family,

Due to the development of the Covid-19 virus in the World, many governments and sporting governing bodies are deciding to restrict events in sport now. The organising committee have the regret to inform you we have decided to cancel this year’s London International Canoe Polo Tournament.

We have undertaken this decision for the following reasons:

Our event is held in a public park and with daily changes from the Government and local authorities we have no idea what the next few months will bring and with that uncertainty we need to put Players health and safety first.
· We haven't opened entries yet and we do not want teams to make expensive travel arrangements for an event that may not take place.
· We have to commit to hire the park and equipment in advance of the event, these must be guaranteed with nearly £2000 of non-returnable deposits with balances due prior to the event.
· Countries are shutting their borders and restricting travel, this will make it impossible for our friends from Mainland Europe to attend our tournament.
· In the UK we are currently being advised against non-essential travel.

We have not come to this decision lightly and hope that we will be able to welcome you to the London International Canoe Polo Tournament in the future.

London International Saturday Night Barbecue

We will once more be holding an evening BBQ and this year we are only selling tickets via our online booking system. Ticket prices are £9 per person and we would be grateful if you could book prior to the weekend numbers will be limited and only a few will be available on Saturday but these will still need to be booked online, no tickets will be available for cash purchase.
If anyone in your party has any other special dietary requirements we recommend they bring their own food and where practical we will offer assistance with cooking it .
The price for BBQ tickets will be £9.00 for either a meat (4 pieces of meat + salad + Cous Cous + Potato Salad + pasta+ Bread) or vegetarian meal ( 4 Veggie pieces + salad + Cous Cous + Potato Salad + pasta+ Bread)
A pudding with Ice cream is also included.
We have limited places so please get your tickets early You will all know what great value this is from previous years!
