Northern Ireland's Communities Minister, Gordon Lyons, has bafflingly rejected an independent report which gave recommendations of why and how to reform the outdated licensing laws in NI.

With his rejection, he effectively attempted to put a red pen through the possibility of consumers in NI having an increased choice of more of our favourite local microbrewers.

Radio Ulster's Talkback programme got reaction from the report's author, the CAMRA NI chairperson and the head of Hospitality Ulster...

Thank you for another fantastic weekend. It’s easy to come and enjoy the great beers on offer however few see the work that goes on in the background. There were a sea of volunteers on Wednesday when we delivered our kegs! Thank you and look forward to next year.

There are so many fantastic beers in the world. Like this Cuvée de Noël by Brasserie St-Feuillien I got earlier today from - the perfect Christmas Eve beer. We are luck to have e the choice that we do and so many great local beers. That’s why I am especially grateful to anyone that has bought beers at anytime throughout the year.
