❤️ BIG NEWS FOR BECCLES SUNDAY MARKET!

We are delighted to share some brilliant news...

🎉 Beccles Sunday Market has been approved to continue EVERY SUNDAY until the end of December!

After a short winter break in January and February, we'll be back from the first week of March 2027, and then every Sunday throughout the year moving forward. ❤️

When we started the market, our aim was simple: bring more people into Beccles, give independent traders somewhere to grow and create another reason to spend a Sunday in our fantastic town.

The support has been incredible, so we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped make this possible.

❤️ Beccles Town Council and our local councillors for supporting the market and giving us the opportunity to establish it in the heart of town.

❤️ A special thank you to Joe the Mayor of Beccles for his support and encouragement from the beginning.

❤️ East Suffolk Council and everyone involved in helping us establish and continue the market.

❤️ Our local shops, cafés, pubs and businesses for welcoming us.

❤️ Every trader, musician and entertainer who has been part of our Sundays.

❤️ Everyone who follows us, shares our posts and spreads the word.

And most importantly...

❤️ YOU!

Everyone from Beccles and across Suffolk and Norfolk who comes into town, visits the stalls, chats to our traders and supports independent businesses.

You are the reason we get to keep doing this.

📅 EVERY SUNDAY UNTIL THE END OF DECEMBER 2026

🌱 BACK FIRST WEEK OF MARCH 2027

❤️ THEN EVERY SUNDAY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

What started as an idea is becoming a regular part of Sundays in Beccles, and we're incredibly excited about what comes next.

Thank you Beccles, Suffolk and Norfolk. ❤️

We'll see you Sunday!

Club Virage at Beccles Aerodrome must be one of East Anglia's quirkiest cafes, with great views of the airfield's flight movements and parachuting. Newly opened is their lovely event venue (pictured), in place of the previous large teepee. If you haven't been, it's well worth a visit. Virage Helicopter Academy

Struck lucky in Earsham Street Deli this afternoon, as Fen Farm Dairy's latest seasonal cheese evidently flies out of the chiller, such is it's popularity! Have you tried it yet? Fen Farm Dairy

While we are all enjoying the current heatwave, spare a thought for all the chefs and kitchen staff working hard in boiling hot kitchens. Pictured are four of the chefs and bakers that kindly appeared in the Local Flavours cookery theatre at this year's Festival. Clockwise from top left - Billy Palmer (The Farmhouse Kitchen, Wheatacre), Jordan Caswell (The Ingham Swan), Lilla Read and Lydia Robertson Two Magpies Bakery).

What a wonderful weather week for our 11th Festival, half term and the town centre's first weekly Beccles Sunday Market tomorrow.
We have plenty to discuss in our upcoming debrief, but it's fair to say that the additional road closure in New Market was a great improvement for stall holders, businesses and visitors, thanks to traffic management services funded by the SZC Tourism Fund and East Suffolk Council.
