On behalf of everyone from Walney Central Rugby club I would like to thank everyone who came yesterday to what can only be described as a 'fantastic' day and to have that sunshine all day was unreal.

Thank you to every single person who has helped in some way in making yesterday come together, far too many to mention but you guys are awesome and the club thanks you for your incredible dedication and continued support. These events take an enormous amount of time and planning and without our committee and volunteers these days just wouldn't happen.

Although these events are always a great opportunity for fundraising for our club and charities, for us just to see our club, families, supporters and community come together for one day on our little Island and watch the best sport in the world and listen to our incredible local music talent is what's it's all about.

A very big thank you to all the musicians/bands that took part yesterday. These guys are some of the nicest people you could ever have the pleasure to meet. Each year they come and blow us away with their talents and all, might I add, in their own time. Many many thanks to you all.

A special thank you to the Zaccarinni family for again allowing us to remember Dean and celebrate the life of a truly amazing guy who year in year out supported our club and was at the very start of our music addition to the day of our Origin celebrations.
I think it's safe to safe that hands down Kerry's set last night was something very special and to see you up there at the end with Paul and the boys was lovely, thank you.

The future is bright for our little club but we desperately need more hands on deck, if you feel in anyway at all that you can come on board no matter how small you would be most welcome to come and be a part of our committee, we meet once a month for an hour at the club house.

Our next event will be our 'Fireween" in November, details and tickets to be announced shortly, so any help, support, ideas please get in touch with myself, committee or coach.

There are less than 70 tickets left in the Spar now, once they're gone, they're gone! We also still have some online but if you still have not got yours don't leave it too late!

On Sat please feel free to bring your camping chairs, canopys, gazebos, wind breaks etc to make yourself comfortable for the day. These will be able to be used on the pitch after the game for the Music.
