NOW YOUโVE MET THE PACERSโฆ HOW ABOUT THE ROUTE? ๐๐ผ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
The Seaton Classic 10k route is a fairly flat and fast course, making it a great opportunity to chase that PB!
๐ Starting in Castle Park, close to the front of Bangor City Hall, the route heads through Bangor city centre before taking you out along the beautiful coast and countryside towards Groomsport. ๐๐ฟ
The course then loops through Groomsport before bringing you back towards the coast for the penultimate kilometre towards Bangor. ๐๐โโ๏ธ
๐ง WATER STATION โ GROOMSPORT
There will be a water station at the halfway point in Groomsport, giving you the perfect opportunity to grab some water and keep yourself fuelled for the second half of the race. ๐ฆ
๐ถ SHANDON DRIVE! ๐ถ
This is where youโll find the fantastic Bangor Ukes! ๐ช๐ต
As you approach the 9k mark at Shandon Drive, theyโll be there supporting everyone on the course, providing some much-needed musical motivation just when you need it most!
And with that short hill around the 9k mark, the timing couldnโt be better!
And thenโฆ ๐ฅ
๐ THE FINISH! ๐
Your final destination is Ward Park, where thereโll be plenty of space to relax, recover and soak up the atmosphere after your 10k! ๐๐
๐ฅช POST-RACE REFRESHMENTS
And of course, youโll have earned a little something afterwards!
Refreshments will be provided in the Bowling Pavilion at Ward Park, adjacent to the finish line.
A huge thank you to our fabulous members from North Down Athletic Club, who will be keeping everyone fuelled and refreshed!
