Results from Kirkistown Round 1 & ICL standings

Race split into 2 groups separated by a 2 min handicap.
Both groups came together at around the 35 min mark of the 45min plus 3 lap race.

Block headwind along the back straight then a wind assisted finish straight made for some fast lineouts but the bunch stayed together.

James Alexander attacked with around 4 laps to go solo, then was joined by Gareth Conn a lap later. They both worked well together to hold a small 10 sec gap all the way to the finish with James taking the win.

Jamie Clarke to the bunch sprint for 3rd.

After a fantastic turnout at our Railway Karting Track skills evening in Moneymore, we’d love to invite all riders to come along and put those new skills into action at the North Down CC youth race evenings at Kirkistown Race Track.

These fun race evenings are open to U8 through to U14 riders and are the perfect opportunity to build confidence, practice group riding, and experience racing in a safe and supportive environment.

If your child enjoyed the skills sessions in Moneymore, this is the ideal next step to keep progressing and having fun on the bike.

Round 1 will also combine the ICL Round 2. If you want to be in the standings for both you need to enter both events. Unfortunately we have no way round this with the entry system and it is tricky to manage.
