Come and join us at The Witty Bar, Axminster on Saturday 6th June for our 80s Disco from 8PM to Midnight.

Expect great music, good laughs, and a late-night adult Twister game — plus it’s free entry and all in aid of the Axminster Carnival Royal Float 💖

Over 18s only — grab your mates and come along!

Entries still open to become the 2026/27 KING, QUEEN, PRINCE and Princess.

We are so excited for you all to see Axminsters very own Royal Party Float tomorrow.

A lot of hard work and dedication has gone into making this happen and for it to be something that Axminster can be proud of.

We must also pay particular gratitude to the late Roy Speed and Phil Pitcher; Roy donated the trailer through float is built on and it has also been stored (with permission from his family) while all the works have been happening. Roy always supported the town in many ways and he will be missed. Phil was working hard on the float and was key in planning its design, unfortunately he passed away prior to its completion.

Float is making swift progress! Huge thank you to Paul Proctor - Paul the Painter who gave up his Sunday to prime coat everything ready for painting this week. Axminster Community Shed have worked incredibly hard but we are almost there! We are looking for some willing volunteers to help complete the painting this week if anyone has a free couple of hours?
