Sunday 28th June is set to be an action packed afternoon of fun for all the family on the Everholm, starting from 12.30pm, with the RAFT RACE starting at 2pm!

This year we are offering ๐…๐‘๐„๐„ ๐…๐”๐๐…๐€๐ˆ๐‘ ๐‘๐ˆ๐ƒ๐„๐’ for all children, all that is required is a ๐ ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ž๐ง ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ค๐ž๐ญ from this years ROM Magazine. This grants free rides for up to 4 children all afternoon๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŽซ

Huge thank you to the Laidlaw's, Clark's, Clarke's, Inman's and Murchie's for use of their land - the Whins fields, as always, gave all riders a great whirl!!๐Ÿ‡

The Annan Riding of the Marches Crowning Committee is inviting children in Primary 3โ€“Primary 7 to take part in our 80th Anniversary Guard of Honour at this year's Crowning Ceremony.

Itโ€™s been a busy first couple of weeks of the season!

The first rideout is now complete, with the weather on our side 46 horses set out around Dornock for a good first blast around the area. There was one injury after a horse slipped, but the rider is on the mend with a broken ankle. All the best from everyone at Annan Riding of the Marches and we hope you have a speedy recovery!

Thanks to Carrโ€™s Billington for the support and hospitality, it was a pleasure as always.

As I write this weโ€™re all gearing up for the Supportsโ€™ Rideout on Wednesday around Brydekirk and Williamwood, with the third fast approaching on Wednesday 10th of June. It was great to see everyone out to support the Principals last week, letโ€™s keep it up!

The Cornetโ€™s Ball is now sold out! There is a reserve list on the go for those who did not manage to get a ticket in time, get in touch if you would like to be added. With The Green playing us into the wee hours it looks like it will be a great year as always, so hurry and collect your tickets if you have managed to reserve some!

The official Annan Riding of the Marches 2026 programme is now on sale, available from businesses around the town. With all of the dates and details for the weeks ahead, this is your guide to make sure you donโ€™t miss a thing! Head out and grab yours now to fill our your calendar and relive years gone by.

The Crowning Committee have been working incredibly hard to fundraise for the Queen of the Border and her Retinue, next they will be taking on a few miles each to reach 80 Miles for 80 Years! Supported by LA Active, they will be taking to treadmills and bikes together at Tesco Annan this Sunday to work through the miles โ€“ so head up there from 11am until 3 in the afternoon to cheer them on, donate and help them reach their goal! Rumour has it the Cornet, Lass and Standard Bearer will be in on the action too!

Following the success of our inaugural event last October, we will once again be holding a free concert for our senior citizens! Newington Social Club will host a concert on Wednesday the 24th of June, with free tickets available from Our Wee Pop Up Shop beside the Cafรฉ Royal. Get yours soon for an afternoon of entertainment and singing along, with refreshments included!

So, after a great start to the celebrations weโ€™ve a busy week ahead โ€“ letโ€™s all get out there and support the Principals!
